Swank Digital Campus

This guide lists links to currently licensed streaming films available through the Swank Digital Campus interface, and explains how to authenticate through OpenAthens to access streaming film content from an off-campus location.

Swank Digital Campus

If you would like access to a streaming video from the Swank Digital Campus Catalogplease submit the request by email or use the request function within the platform.

  • Once a Swank streaming film is licensed, all current LLCC students, faculty, and staff have access to use the film in a classroom setting or for personal research and study until the end of the fiscal year, June 30, 2025.
  • Swank Digital Campus licenses are limited to the educational uses and do not include Public Performance Rights.  If you would like to show a film at a campus event or as part of a club activity, you will need to secure a license with Public Performance Rights.  Please refer to the Swank College Campus site for more information and to obtain a quote.  If you have questions or need help, please reach out to Amanda Wiesenhofer, and she can help walk you though the process.
  • Some Kanopy films have Public Performance rights built into the Kanopy license, so that platform is a great place to look for streaming films for events.  Please see our Kanopy Guide for more information.
  • Licensed Swank Digital Campus Films are cataloged and available in LLCC Library Search & Discover.
  • If you would like to see browse films that are currently active and licensed for use, please click the link below to visit the LLCC Library Swank Digital Campus interface.

Technical Note regarding screensharing from Swank Digital Campus Technical Support

The Swank streaming platform does not currently support playback of films via screen sharing platforms such as Zoom Meetings. The security of the platform is designed to prevent functional playback in this manner as we are unable to ensure that the audience of a film being shown via screen share is one covered by our agreements and rights.

For virtual classrooms and events, we recommend that facilitator provide each viewer with a link to the film and use Zoom simultaneously to discuss what every student is watching on their own device.
