Interlibrary Loan

This guide demonstrates how you can acquire books, articles, videos, and other materials from other libraries.

Using our Interlibrary Loan Services

Sometimes the library doesn't have a book, video, or article that you need.  Our Interlibrary Loan (ILL) services are available to help you acquire these materials.  This guide is designed to teach you how to use these services.  I-Share and WorldCat are the two services that you can use to acquire books, videos, and other materials that are loaned to you.  If you are looking for copies of articles or book chapters, EBSCOhost and WorldCat are the two best services that LLCC library offers.  Links to all of these resources can be found on the left of this page.

When requesting books, try to use I-Share first.  Books requested from this service generally arrive much sooner than those requested through WorldCat.  If you are looking for articles, EBSCOhost allows you to search many more databases and journals than WorldCat.  Finally, if you are looking for a specific book or article and none of these resources seem to work, contact me.  My phone number is 217-786-2270, or email at Katrina.Quattlander@llcc.edu.  I am happy to help you find the information you need.
