Interlibrary Loan

This guide demonstrates how you can acquire books, articles, videos, and other materials from other libraries.

Requesting your Item

Once you are in the item's record, you will see many details of the item, including its status (circled in green below).  In this case, LLCC owns the item, but it is checked out.  You may place a hold on the item for when it is returned by clicking the "Request" button (circled in red below).  If you don't want to wait for the item to be returned, you can click on the "I-Share" button (circled in gold below) to request it from another library.

If LLCC Library doesn't own an item but other libraries in I-Share do, you will see the item status of "Check for available services" (circled in green below).  To request this item from another library, just click on the large "I-Share" button (circled in red below).
