In-Text Citations:
- the basic rules
- paraphrase some information
- open parentheses (
- type the first word of the citation from your reference list
- (usually this is an author's last name but if there is no author listed use the first word of the citation)
- type a comma & a space
- type the year of publication
- close the parentheses )
- special instruction for multiple authors
- if there one author - use their last name followed by comma space date
- if there are 2 authors - use both last names followed by a comma space date
- if there are 3 or more authors - use the first author's last name followed by the words: et al. followed by a comma space date
