Continuing Education Articles are journal articles that include some kind of test or assessment nurses can complete in order to receive the continuing education credits required to maintain a nursing license. Finding and reading a CEU article does not automatically result in CE credits toward licensure.

In order to receive CE credit, nurses must:
locate a valid (not expired) CE/CEU
CEUs are time limited and expire after 2-3 years
complete a task to demonstrate learning
(do an exercise, write an brief essay, take a multiple choice test)
submit their work and pay

Ovid Journals are a great place to find continuing education articles on a wide range of topics. The interface is a bit slow and a little tricky to look at. Be patient for your results to appear in the bottom panel (allowing pop ups will speed things up a little bit) and look to the column on the LEFT to help narrow and focus your results (by date, etc).
CAUTION
Many reputable journals and CEU services offer their CEU articles free, online, in full-text - applying charges only when you complete the CEU for credit. Search online when the topic is detailed or sophisticated. Click on the link to a site, then use the search function to find articles on your specific topic.
